Zach & Angies Wedding

This last weekend I went with Ryan up to his best friend Zach's wedding in Seattle. Oh my what a weekend. I was really excited about going. Well...... We left on friday morning and our flight was about an hour late. Zachs mom was supposed to be picking us up at the airport in Seattle so she was sitting there for like 2 hours waiting for us I felt so bad!! The rehersal was at 5 that afternoon so we had to hurry. However on our drive to get to the ferry one of the freeways was completely backed up so we had to go a different way. Come to find out the reason the road was backed up was because a bus was hanging over the overpass!!! This is the actual picture from the news---------------------->
Once we finally got to the hotel we only had like 40 minutes to get ready. Mind you I was traveling all day and had planned to shower when we got to the hotel. So we had to rush to get ready. Stupid me decided to curl my hair(I have a hard time with sometimes) and it takes me forever to do and I hate being rushed. When we got to the rehearsal Ryan had to go and do best man stuff... which left me sitting alone by myself. It was then that I realized that I didn't think this through. Its been awhile since I have been to a civil wedding and best men usually have more responsibility than at the Mormon weddings. lol.

After the actual rehearsal we went to a nice yacht club for dinner. I was excited cause I was going to get to be with Ryan. But come to find out Ryan and Mahe(another groomsmen) hadn't picked up their tuxes yet. So right before we ordered our food they went to go pick up another groomsmen from the ferry and then go get their tuxes. So they missed dinner completely. I wasn't too happy about it. But the dinner was good!

Saturday was the wedding day. The wedding wasn't till two but the wedding party had to go and take pictures at like 10. It took them all the way till two to be finished. The ceremony was very beautiful. It was cool because as soon as the ceremony was over we walked down the hall to the reception.

Later that night Zach & Angie wanted to hang out with all of us since we all had to travel to come to the wedding. It was snowing so bad practically everything was closed. We had to drive on the freeway and it was completely covered with snow. It was scary cause they didn't have lights on some of the freeway. We ended up going to this mom and pop bar & grill right next to their hotel that we actually ran too it was so close. It was the only thing open for miles.
We had alot of fun singing and dancing and playing darts. Everyone that was there were regulars and they kept buying Angie & Zach drinks. There was this guy that was singing with his guitar all night that we had alot of fun with. They all thought they were crazy for hanging out with all of us on their wedding night but it was a blast!
The next day we had to leave bright and early. We volunteered to get Gramma Bagley to the airport since our flight was only a few hours after hers. This lil lady kept me company the whole time Ryan was off doing best man stuff. She is 96 years old and still has lots of energy left in her!! She is still traveling the world. I hope if I even make it to 96 that I have that much energy left!

Our flight was delayed an hour at first.... we were supposed to leave at 1:02 but then it got delayed a little more and a little more till we finally didn't even board till 4:30. I was SO scared that our flight was going to get cancelled. If it had we would have been stuck in Seattle for 3 more days because there were no available flights. I felt bad for the rest of the wedding party because all of their flights got cancelled and couldn't leave till Monday! Once we were boarded they said it wasn't going to be long till we left.... an hour later after they defrosted the plane we finally started moving. Of course to top this story off there was a little girl sitting behind me, she was maybe two years old, and she kicked my seat and was extremely loud the entire time!! She also had this baby doll that would cry or giggle and she played with that for half of the flight. And the thing that made me more mad was that her mother didn't do anything about it. She just kept reading her book. People and their kids!! haha We finally got to Salt Lake around 7:30. I never have been so excited to be home.
Congratulations to Zach and Angie!!

Christmas Festivities

Last night we finally got to go see the lights!! We have been trying for weeks to go see them but we were either too lazy or just couldnt get around to it. And Ryan refused to go untill it snowed a little cause he thought it looked pretty with the snow... haha. We went with our dear friends Chris and Rachel. They were the friends that I was living with. We were going to go see the lights up at the zoo but they actually closed earlier than we thought so we just went down to temple sqaure. It was a really quick walk through because we didnt get there till like 9:20 and they close at 10. I wouldnt have wanted to be there any longer than that anyway because it was SO cold!
Me & Rachel

A few weeks ago we went to the Festival of Trees. It was a fun thing to do for the holidays but I had forgotten how busy it gets. It was crazy! Im not a fan of a large mass of people especially when they all bring their kids. I have never gone that fast through it before. We would walk down the center of the isles and try to look at both sides as we walked through. If we saw a tree we liked we would stop for a second and look and then keep walking. We got through the whole thing in an hour. Any longer than that and I would probably have punched someone. We went to Crown Burger across the street before and that was just as bad. We should have thought that one over before... because everyone else thought it would be a good idea too. There were kids running all over the place it was ridiculous! We ate so fasst just so we could get out of there. But although it was hell to go through it.. the trees were so pretty! I cant imagine how much time and work it would take to make one of those.

Changes

Things have changed a little bit the last month or so.... As of yesterday I am officially moved back home! Its sure nice to have my own space again... and all my shoes!!! The only thing is that Ryan and I might not see each other as much since he lives all the way down town. We have been dating a year now and we have seen each other everyday except for maybe like 10 days total. Especially now that its winter there is less of a chance that I'm going to be driving down there on the icy roads! So we have been a little bummed about it, but we will make it work... I will be living at my parents till we get married(WE ARE NOT ENGAGED YET) and I dont have a clue when that will be, hopefully next fallish. I love my family & kitties though so it won't be bad at all.
I also got a new job about a month ago. Its actually an old job I had about a year and a half ago. I had to leave then because of some work drama I just didnt want to deal with anymore (dont date people from work.. haha), but I loved the job!! Im the office manager and the company is Newport Audio Video & Electrical. They do home theatre systems, central vac, rough and finish electrical. Its a great job, it keeps me busy and I have alot of responsibility. Im the only girl in the company so no drama for me! haha Its so nice to finally be in a good place again where I am SO much happier than I was just a few months ago.

TWILIGHT!!

I never thought I would be one of those people that got so excited for a movie. But this was my guilt pleasure!! And I even bought a shirt to wear when I went to see it... haha. However I didn't go opening night to see it... thank goodness!! I dont enjoy the general public, all those crazy women can you imagine?? I abosultely loved this movie!! When it ended and the credits came on I didnt want it end. I wish that they had just made one long movie of all the books. I dont even care if it was like 6 hours long I would seriously sit and watch the whole thing!! There definately were a few parts that weren't the same as the book but all in all I think they did a pretty good job! I feel really bad for all the men in the world that have to live up to Edwards standards. He is just wonderful!! I dont think they could have picked a better person for his part, and for any of them really. I was a little nervous about Kristen Stewart as Bella because some other stuff she has been in I wasnt really impressed. I actually saw an interview with her and she seemed like she had a bad attitude. But luckily I felt she did very well. Ill more than likely go see it a few more times! :) My family and I went to seattle earlier this year and of course I requested that we go and visit Forks. I recognized alot of stuff that was in the movie and even got a picture in front of the sign! I feel like such a nerd for being so in love with this movie, but seriously... if you have read the books you know how I feel!

U of U vs. TCU

Last night Ryan and I went to the U of U football game against TCU. Besides the freezing cold and the masses of stupid people, I really enjoy going to football games. Jake was sweet enough to get us tickets for free. Our seats were in the standing student section and were supposed to be like all the way up in the back... but we managed to yoink a spot up a few rows. It actually wasn't too bad in the standing section because standing up and moving around actually is a great way to stay warm. There was this couple in front of us that would literally make out every time the Utes did something good. It was so gross!! Ryan and I aren't huge fans of PDA, but we will hold hands and peck once in awhile... sometimes I even give him a few love punches. :) So my toes were about to fall off but Ryan wanted to stay and see how the game was with the last few minutes left. There was 5 mintues left and they still werent doing very well, so we left because we didnt want to get stuck in traffic. As soon as we made it to the other side of the stadium there was less than 2 minutes left and the crowd started roaring. So we popped our heads in to see, not a touchdown but they were making progress... We waited a another few minutes but nothin happened so we just decided to go. Well of course as we are out in the parking lot walking to our car the crowd roars again! And sure enough they had made a touchdown to win the game 13 to 10. I was pissed that we stood 3 hours in the cold watching the game and the most exciting part of the game happened as we left. But at least they won and we got free churros!! GO UTES!

Body Worlds 3 Exhibit

Last Thursday Ryan and I went and saw the Body Worlds exhibit downtown. We had attempted to go many times but had it not work out for some reason or another. We were very excited to go, FINALLY! Let me just say it was amazing. The moment we walked into the exhibit it was so peaceful and felt like a sacred place. People weren't just quiet but more like reverent for the cadavers. It was actually kind of a spiritual experience for me. They had letter displayed from one of the body donors that gave me chills when I read it as well as a thank you letter from the people who created it to the cadavers. It was amazing to really see how our body works and how everything works together. Its just proof that there has to be God because the human body is so intricate and extraordinary. Its definately something you need to see atleast once.

Hit and Run

This is a picture of my parents wall in the front of their house after a drunk driver ran into it at 3 o'clock in the morning on Sunday. The driver left the car, stupid kid... like they wouldnt be able to find him. He had hit it pretty hard because the car had alot of damage, the windshield was cracked from him hitting his head and the air bag went off. My mom said that it sounded like an explosion! Unfortunately the stupid kid doesnt have insurance so my parents are going to have to find other means of fixing it. Moral of the story... dont drink and drive and not expect to pay the consequences.

Arizona/Vegas

Last week Ryan, Jake(Ryan's brother) and I went down to Arizona or (Arisnona as lils would say) to visit their other brother Colby. The day we left it was freezing cold and snowing. So I was pretty anxious to leave. The drive down was pretty quick. We stopped at the Glen Canyon Damn in Lake Powell. I would have been happy if we had just stayed there all week.
Also on our way down we drove past a farm (surprise surprise) and the sprinklers were on but because it was so cold it had frozen to the wheels and the grass was covered with icy snow. It was so cool looking we had to go back and take a picture.

11 hours later we were in Arizona in 80 degree weather! We didn't really do much but it felt like we kept pretty busy. We laid out by the pool and enjoyed much eating out, and going out on the town. Much needed R&R!! I love Arizona... but even in the fall it got up to 95 degrees one day. But I absolutely loved the palm trees :)
The three Moore boys left to right: Ryan, Colby and Jake
In front of Colby's house. I had to get a picture with the palm trees!
We decided that on the trip back home we would go to Vegas for a night and then do the rest of the drive home the next day. I have never really been to Vegas, and they wanted to take me to ride the rides. So we got to Vegas Thursday evening. When we got there we realized that we should have booked a hotel before actually got there. So we drove around for about an hour trying to find a hotel that had a room that was somewhat cheap. We ended up at the Palace Station. $30 bucks for a night isn't too shabby!
So we grabbed some food, changed and hit the strip. We started at the New Yorker and planned to walk our down to the Stratosphere and check out other things along the way. The New Yorker was fun... but $13 bucks to ride it, that's just crazy. We went and checked out the Coyote Ugly bar... from the outside. The line was so long.
Then we went down and checked out the Bellagio water show, it was so pretty! That's were we met the brown version on Elvis. By this time it was midnight and the Stratoshpere closed at 12:45. So we started booking down the strip so that we could make it before it closed because supposedly its much more fun to ride at night. Jake thought that we would be able to make it on foot so we didn't get a cab. The strip is much longer than it looks and in heels it only makes it worse. We were practically jogging once we past Treasure Island. By the time we reached Circus Circus I was getting blisters on the bottoms of my heals I could barley walk. So Jake and Ryan took turns giving me a piggy back rides. We got there at exactly 12:46. So we barley didn't make it. We all felt defeated and collapsed on the floor in front of desk for about 15 minutes we were so tired.
We still got up the next morning and rode it. Once again $15 bucks for a 10 second ride.. hardly worth it. But now I can say that I have ridden it. Then we went and gorged at the World Buffet at the Rio. It was huge and they had food from every culture! I'm still trying to digest all that food. haha

The 411

So I finally did it!! Jumped on the band wagon and started a blog!! Its kinda confusing but pretty fun :). I am glad that I am doing this now because I feel it is a much better way to keep updated on friends and family.
Life has been a little crazy the last few months for me. I had the oppurtunity to become a personal trainer which unfortunatley didnt work out. I didnt have any clients so therefore was not making any money, also turns out that it is much more about sales than anything else. Once I quit I was on the search for a job for about a month before I was offered anything. I am now back doing office work for a home services company. Its not exactly what I want to be doing but atleast I am getting a paycheck. I am currently living with some friends downtown and will most likely be moving back to my parents to save money and get back on my feet. It sure is humbling going through trails like these... but I have learned so much about myself.
I am dating a wonderful man. His name is Ryan Moore. We actually went to high school together but never really knew each other. We were set up by a mutal friend November of last year and clicked right away, even though he wore sweats to our first date... haha. He is currently working for Gold Cross Ambulance as an EMT and he wants to become a firefighter. He treats me almost too good. He is the man of my dreams and I am so grateful to have him in my life. There has been talk about marriage but Ill have to keep you posted on that!!
