I have been without a computer (let alone Internet) for the last month or so...

I have been having withdrawals!!

I am MAJOR behind on my posts but I am hoping to make up for it with this one!

(for those that actually read my blog.. lol)

Life has been just as crazy as ever!!

The reason I have been without a puter or Internet is because I got let go from my job about that long ago and we didn't have such luxuries at home...

Until now cause I have one of these:

I am employed once again though!

Its the perfect situation.

I work in a day spa part time during the day,

have time to go home and relax for a minute

and then go to the school in the evenings!

And somehow I seem just as exhausted and busy if not more!!

Standing on my feet all day has been quite the adjustment.

Anyway!

On to more important things...

I didn't realize just HOW behind I was since my last post!

There was the 24Th of July:

Then we went to Lake Powell with our wonderful friends:

We even made it to Lagoon finally!

Had an awesome sleepover with some of my darling friends:

And the most recent of all...

OUR 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY & Ryan's B-Day!:

We went to Vegas for the weekend.

We got there in the afternoon on Friday

Took a nap

then went and had the BEST cheeseburger EVER at Margaritaville

Afterwards we walked the strip,

watched the fountain show as well as the Sirens of Ti

Saturday we went and had brunch at Serendipity

which has the best chicken fingers!

Frozzzen Hot Cocoa was delicious too...

We visited the Coca-cola factory

as well as M&M World

and finished the day with dinner at Hard Rock Cafe...

and a Cirque Du Soilel Show!

And for those of you that are wondering...

THE SHOW WAS AMAZING!!!!

I had chills the whole time!

It was absolutely beautiful!

Thanks for a great first year babe.

It had its bumps but we made it through!

The rest is all pretty mundane.

Work. School. Sleep.

Repeat.

But I am pretty content with life at the moment!

Summer went so fast!

As sad as I am to see it go,

I am pretty excited for Fall!

Impact Training

Last week I choose to participate in Impact Trainings Quest.

It was quite the experience!

I highly encourage everyone to experience it!!

It sincerely changed my life!!

From my experience I learned how to trust and love myself unconditionally as well as everyone else judgement free!

I feel such great peace from letting experiences from my past no longer effect my life.

This weekend was nothing short of fantastic.

Its started early with a lay out sesh with these lovely ladies:

Rough Week.

What a week.

One of my best friends, Mika, lost her mother early Monday morning.

She had been battling breast cancer for 19 years.

She was an amazing woman and had impacted SO many peoples lives.

I wish I had gotten to know her better.

My heart aches for my friend and her loss.

I have felt so helpless all week.

Even more so on Tuesday when we got a call from them saying that their puppy had gotten hit by a car and died.

When it rains it pours eh?

Yesterday was Monica's funeral and it was amazing.

The whole thing really made me contemplate myself and how I live my life.

I really enjoyed learning more about her through what her family had to say.

Monica was a dear friend to everyone she met.

She truly did live every day like it was her last.

Something truly amazing to live by!

I don't ever want to take another day for granted again!

I sure do love these people!

You will never be forgotten Monica & Auzzie!

Summer Bliss

Since the weather finally realized that it was summer,

I haven't had a chance to enjoy it.

I have been itchin for weeks to just lay out by the pool and relax

but every weekend we have had something going on.

But last weekend I finally was able to!

My cute friend Rachel came over and we went and laid by the pool!

We finished our tanning session off with some delicious Frogurt and a trip to Ross!
Pure bliss I tell you!
I made Ryan go with me again on Sunday :)
Needless to say I am a little on the crispy side now!

Before we got the pup,

I was really stressed out about how the kitty would get along with his new friend.

For the first few days Dante' was not happy.

He wouldn't even let me get close to him without hissing.

I balled a few times cause I was so stressed out that he would be like that the rest of his life.

But nope!

Dante' finally accepted his new "brother"!!

They are hilarious to watch now.

They run around the house chasing and wrestling each other,

just like brothers do...

When Dante' has had enough,

he just gets out of Dodge's reach.

Which isn't too hard. I caught it on video a few times.

They are just so fast!

They are hard to keep up with!

I am so excited for this movie!

I never thought I would like this show,

untill I actually started watching it.

And some how I have grown quite fond of it.

23rd Birthday!

What a good birthday!

It kind of snuck up on me this year.

And as quickly as it came, it was over!

It began early when kitty wouldn't stop meowing at the door.

He LOVES to go outside so I just assumed he wanted to be let out.

But he wouldn't let up.

Then Ryan kept trying to tell me to let him out.

So I went to let him out and I had a surprise waiting for me:

My mom had come and decorated my door!

She is the best mom ever.

She is such a sweetie.

I love her to pieces.

Once Ry & my mom left for work,

I attempted to sleep in a little longer since it was my birthday and all.

But no go.

I was too excited to get the day going and to get my pup!

After getting ready, cleaning the house a bit and running the last few errands,

my brother Jordo drove me down to Ryan's work and we went to lunch.

Then he headed on our way to Cedar City to pick up the pup!

The anticipation and excitement wore me out!

We had to drive on a dirt road for 6 miles to get to the breeders house.

When we got to her house she took us in back and there were TONS of dachshunds.

There were a few right outside the door that I thought were the ones I was picking from,

but then the lady told her daughter to go get the right ones and brings over this lil guy:

It was love at first sight!

He whined for about 10 minutes into to the ride home.

We turned on some Jack Johnson and he fell right to sleep!

We had to take a few potty breaks: I held him most of the way home.

He kept climbing on my shoulders and sleeping there.

I think secretly he thinks he's a parrot.Meet dodge! We made it home around 8.

We were both pooped!

After our cute friends came over to visit with their pup,

we gave him a bath.

Poor lil guy was shivering so bad! We just love him to pieces!

After the first day or two,

Dodge and kitty are getting along nicely.

He is doing pretty good with potty training.

We have been crating him during the day and hasn't had an accident in there at all!

However he has had a few in the house but we are still working on it!

He seems to love everyone that approaches him.

He is just the biggest snuggler!

Gotta love those floppy ears!

Thank you friends & family who made me feel super loved on my birthday.

Makes getting older not so bad.

Moab 2010!

We made a lil weekend getaway to Moab with Chris & Rachel.

I was excited for this trip for a few reasons:

1. Road trip

2. Camping

3. Relaxation

4. LOTS of yummy food!

5. Hiking

6. Sunshine

7. Actually giving me something to blog about!

Life has felt quite monotonous as of late.

So this was a nice break from the normal routine.

Something about being out in nature and ruggin it sure is relaxing.

I slept practically the whole drive there.

It helped that it was raining an overcast.

That's my favorite for road trips.

We arrived to our shed of a cabin that was barley big enough for two full sized beds:

Gotta LOVE the wood paneling right?

And how kind of them to make it homier by hanging pictures on the wall.

We got probably the most ghetto cabin that was available.

It looked as if all the other cabins had been remodeled.

But it did its job.

It POURED rain our first night there.

Not to mention cotton was flying EVERYWHERE.

SNEEZE!

After running around town trying to find a coffee maker for Rachel,

we locked ourselves in the cabin and played catch phrase till the wee hours of the morning.

That game is INTENSE!

We woke up at 11:30 the next morning

and realized we needed to get goin!

We headed over to Arches National Park.

Stopped at Balance Rock:

Hiked to Delicate Arch and realized how out of shape I actually am:

(don't mind the hair. It was windy!)

Something about these amazing natural structures takes my breath away and gives me goose bumps.

3 mile hike to Delicate Arch= 2 hour hike.

3 mile hike to Delicate Arch with husbands that have to climb to the top of every rock pretending to be Bear Grylls and want us to take their pictures=4.5 hour hike.

Then we stopped by the North & South Windows:

A full day of hiking + the sun= one tired Nessa.

That night we relaxed, ate dinner and some GIANT marshmellow's & smore's,

(holy belly ache!) And got into yet another intense game of Catch Phrase around the fire.

It sure is hard to stay somewhat quiet during that game.

We played well past the noise curfew.

I'm honestly surprise we didn't get the cops called on us for a noise complaint.

But I did sleep incredibly well that night.

Sunday was pretty uneventful.

We went up to Dead Horse Point with Rachel's family.

Took an afternoon nap

and headed home.

Cabin #3 baby!I'm feeling nice and refreshed!

I didn't get a tan,

but managed to get my fair share of bug bites.

Time to hit the tanning bed.

Esthetics Convention 2010

Last weekend I headed off to the Esthetics's Convention in Vegas!

(Lots of pictures. Not going to apologize cause lets be honest... pictures are the best part!)

We left bright and early Saturday morning.

Our flight went fast!

Although I did get sick from it.

Flying is not my forte'.

But it was fun!

There was a whole team of baseball players from Vegas on our flight.

And we even did a little gambling ON the plane.

We put our seat number on a dollar bill and put it in this big plastic bag,

then they pick out one and whoever seat was on the bill got all the money.

I didn't get so lucky.

We jumped in a cab at the airport to go check into our hotel before we headed to the convention.
HOWEVER...
our Ukrainian taxi driver took us to the wrong hotel and then left.
So we had to walk down the street and around the corner to our correct hotel. Then we headed off to the convention!
Our hotel was RIGHT across the street so it was a nice lil walk.
We grabbed some lunch: And then got to the good stuff!!
Holy smokes.
It was all SOOO overwhelming!!
So much cool stuff to look at!
I was lucky to have Erin there with me.
She is the esthetician at Color My Nails and she was helping me the whole time.
I felt like I was job shadowing!
We kept getting asked if we were sisters.
We just giggled and said yes :)
(Chalise, Erin & Me) My feet and arms were KILLING me at the end of the day.

We lugged our stuff back to the hotel and were going to get freshened up for dinner
but then found something better to do. After jumping our lil monkey hearts out,
we headed to dinner with the rest of these cute girls. Then someone decided to walk the strip after dinner.

After walking around a convention all day,

walking the strip isn't too appealing.

After about an hour of walking & getting sexually harassed,

we decided we should head back to the hotel.

Well,

An hour after that we FINALLY found a damn cab.

You see them everywhere down there,

But let me tell you they are impossible to get!

It was so nice to get in bed that night.

Sunday morning we got up and walked about 2 miles to the closest Walgreen's to get some breakfast.

It was an interesting trip seeing is how the lady at the hotel told us it was a 10 min walk.

Once we hiked to and from Walgreen's,

we headed over to the Hilton to get our tan on!!

There was this tree on the way that I thought looked like a GIANT pineapple!

So I HAD to get a picture.

YUM. It was so nice to lay out but it was SO hot!!

The sun kicked my butt cause I got heat stroke or exhaustion.

(I don't know which one is which)
After we laid out I should have stayed at the hotel and rested,

but instead we went shopping!

You know the feeling of when you are SO exhausted all you want to do it cry?

That's so how I felt that night.

We went to P.F. Chang's for dinner.

It was tasty but our waitress took her sweet time!

We seemed to keep ourselves entertained though.

After dinner all I wanted to do was eat some ice cream and lay in bed.

Of course a Ben & Jerry's had to be hard to find.

I looked it up on my phone and told the cab driver where to go,

but he thought he knew better so he took us to the Paris Hotel.

Once we got in we ask a security guard where it was and he told us to go to Planet Hollywood next door.

Of course.

Nothing can be easy right!

And of course the Ben & Jerry's was all the way on the OTHER side of the mall.

So as we strolled through the mall,

anxiously awaiting my ice cream,

there was a window display that made me come to a screeching hault.

I honestly cant say I have ever fallen in love with a pair of shoes at first sight.

So I run inside to see and try them on.

As I am walking around the store in my soon to be shoes,

I spot a purse that matches.

Again, I have never fallen in love with a purse at first sight.

I HAD TO HAVE THEM!!

I have never spent that much on a pair of shoes and a purse before.

I was having a lil bit of an anxiety attack,

hence my face:

After a nice lil call to the hubs,

I felt better about my wonderful purchase.

It was SO worth it.

We made our way back out to find a cab and decided we had to gamble a little.

I mean we were in Vegas for goodness sakes.

I put in a dollar and I won 12 cents!!

YAHOO!!

Never cashed it in.

The voucher is still in my purse.

When we got back to the hotel,

we attempted to pack everything up.

Just in case you didn't notice our ginormous bags before,

please notice now:

On Monday,

we finished packing up our things and headed on our way.

Although I am fully aware that wearing heels to walk around an expo isn't the smartest idea...

I was just too dang excited to wear my new shoes and purse!

Chalise & Tisa headed off the to airport and I went to the expo with the other girls.

Along with a massive headache,

I'm pretty sure all of us got a little bit of food poisoning from Chang's the night before.

It was a painful day.

In heels.

We did one last run through the expo and then headed back to the hotel.

Our flight wasn't till later that night and we had already checked out of our rooms,

so we just hung out in the bathroom lounge for a few hours trying to get all of our purchases to fit in our suitcase, and made a few interesting friends.

By this time I was ready to fall on my face,

so I didn't get any pictures.

We went to the airport a few hours early to grab some dinner and relax.

As we were checking our bags,

mine came back as over weight and they were going to charge me $50 bucks for being 7 lbs over the limit.

HECK NO.

So my friends and I were frantically ripping things out of my suitcase and trying to fit them into a carry on.

I felt like my things were flying everywhere!

Luckily we got it all situated and I didn't have to pay!

PHEW!

On the plane ride home we sat next to one of the singers from Jericho Road! (sarcasm)

He kept trying to hit on us until he realized we were all married.

Then he put his headphones in and kept to himself.

lol

This is us sad to be leaving Vegas,

even though secretly I was SO happy to be home.

Regardless of all the chaos and getting sick a few times,

it was so much fun!

I learned so much for next year and by the time I go next year I will be graduated.

I better start saving now.

I spent ALOT of money in the span of 3 days. :S

Early Birthday Surprise!

As you have read on recent posts,

I am a little puppy hungry!

The last few weeks or even MONTHS,

Ryan and I have had a battle over getting a puppy.

He has been telling me no that we cant

and that HE would have to take alot of the responsibility that he doesn't want.

Well the little shit was LYING.

He has been planning on getting me a puppy for my birthday next month,

and some how I spoiled the surprise for myself!

So now he says I have a month to find one!

I have already been doing alot of research and looking,

and I think I may have found the one!

I wont be getting it till my birthday so I have a whole month of excitement and preparation to look forward to!

I am wanting a mini dachshund that is tan & black.

Ryan and I have been thinking up names for the pup,

but I would love to hear suggestions from you!

I have an excess of it,

I always seem to have some in my purse.

And recently I was refered to as the treat master! lol

Nothing is more rewarding after a long exhausting day than a nice sugar high!

Easter Weekend!

What a nice relaxing weekend!

Friday I only had to work half day since it was Good Friday.

It gave me alot of extra time to run some errands for the Easter bunny!

Later that night we went with our darling friends to Tepanyaki.

This was Ryan's first time ever going! Once our bellies were full of yummy food we decided to hit up a movie!

But since the boys and us girls couldn't agree on a movie,
we ended up going from date night to girls night!
The boys went and saw some Titan movie while we went and saw Bounty Hunter!
We were those obnoxious girls taking pictures during the previews!
Sorry everybody!
Saturday was pretty quiet.
I ran my errands and I got a nice little visit from Kenzie and I took her to lunch!
Sure do love my sis in law!
Sunday we got up bright and early to go to brunch with some friends.
But of course before we went we had to get our Easter baskets!
Ryan was so excited.
We both hid each others in the closet and somehow we just ended up sitting in there as we went through our baskets and ate some candy!

Its just too much fun to spoil each other!

We went to our favorite place for brunch with some of our favorite people!

As soon as we got home we turned on conference and slept till we went to my parents for Easter dinner!

Meet Auzzie,He is our friends Mika & Jason's new lil puppy!

He is the cutest thing EVER!

He is an 8 week old Shih Tzu.

On Saturday Tawni & I got to puppy sit the lil guy.

He is so much fun.

He hops around like a bunny and his growls or snarls sound like a purr.

I haven't been able to stop thinking about puppies for a whole week!

We have wanted a dog for a long time, but just haven't had the right timing yet.

But this lil guy sure makes it hard not to want one!

After we were done puppy sitting him, Tawni & I went to Pet Co and spent about half an hour reading books on puppies!

Then later that night at dinner, Ryan and I talked about puppy names!

Ryan has always wanted an English bulldog:

I look forward to the weekends to rest and relax,

but they end up being just as busy as my weekdays.

They seem to disappear too quickly.

I really hit a wall this weekend.

Just couldn't go anymore.

I was at the point of exhaustion where I just had to cry I was so tired.

Not to mention I was so sore that I could hardly move.

I am so grateful for a husband that takes such good care of me when I am out of commission.

For a minute there I was wondering how I was going to get through this week!

The title says it all!

Best Valentines I have ever had.

It will be hard to top.

Saturday morning,

I woke up and was bummed that Ryan didn't say bye before he went to work,

until I walked in the kitchen and found this! In his 3 paged post-it-shaped-like-a-J letter

it said that my friend Mika would be picking me up at 4:45

and that I should wear something nice.

I knew he had a surprise for me that night,

but I got EXTREMELY excited when he said

"wear something nice."

Which then I immediately started stressing.
Dress nice??

Does that mean nice jeans or slacks?

Maybe a dress?

My phone had died earlier that morning

so I had no contact with Ryan.

Luckily I had gotten one last text from Mika saying she was going to wear nice jeans.

at 4:45 Mika came and picked me up.

We were then instructed to go get some chick flicks,

candy for during the movie,

and that we cant come home till 6:30.

So we got a movie,

got some candy,

even had time to stop at Payless to get a new purse and a hat

and we still even sat in Mikas garage for 15 minutes waiting for them to tell us we could come in.

We were getting very impatient and were trying to figure out what our surprise was! Finally they told us to come in but to knock.

This is how they answered the door

and of course I made them pause for a quick picture.

We immediately smelled something cooking!
Homemade chicken cordon bleu and steaks!
They did such a great job!
It was so yummy.
I ate so much and got the worst belly ache EVER.
And the surprises kept coming.
After a week of whining about how much I wanted cold stone,
they pulled these bad boys out of the freezer after dinner.
Mika and I were already planning on driving down to cold stone later that night to get some!

Sunday we got up early and went snowboarding!

It was such a beautiful day!

I was really surprised at how many people there were up there for a Sunday!

I love pine trees when they have snow on them.

So beautiful.

We actually took more pictures than we went down the mountain.

I think we only got in 4 or 5 runs before we were beat and ready for a nap.

And nap we did.

Then off we went to our couples massage!

Neither of us had ever had a professional massage before,

and we were in for a treat!

It is partially my fault for asking for a deep massage,

but it was PAINFUL!!!

I had lots of tension and knots in my neck and shoulders.

BOY oh BOY did those hurt!

I was really sore yesterday from it and I don't think snowboarding helped.

Next time I will be getting a more gentle massage.

But it is nice to have alot of those knots worked out!

When this year began there wasn't too much to look forward to besides school and work.

But here we are in February and our year has become more exciting by the minute!

Here are a few things I am very excited for!

Ryan started at T-mobile in December, which means sweet hook ups right??

YUP!

He got us both myTouches for Valentines.

We were supposed to be able to use them last week.

Still haven't used it.

GRR.

On top of a surprise Ryan says he has for me tomorrow,

we are going snowboarding:

and getting our first couples massage!

To top off what I hope will be a great weekend,

I get Monday off from work!

(as I am sure alot of people do, but any spare time I can get is a special thing!)

Then in March is when I move up to intermediate at school

and start taking appointments!

Then in April I will be going to this:

as well as my birthday!

Then the thing I am SUPER excited for is some dear friends invited us to go with them in August to LAKE POWELL!!

After that will be our 1 year anniversary and Ryans birthday!

Life seems so much more exciting when you have something to look forward to!

Three Honks & A Whistle

I live right across the street from my work.

Up till now I have been driving home everyday for lunch and driving back.

Given it has been COLD.

Since it has started warming up a bit I thought I would give a shot at walking home for lunch.

Save on gas, get a little exercise and my ten minutes of sun.

All good things right?

Right.

But as I crossed the street at the light right by my house,

I get three honks and a whistle.

GAG.

I don't say this to brag, I say this because people are gross.

Don't look at me.

I just want to cross the damn street.

I wont be walking home for lunch again for awhile.

Luckily Ryan was home and drove me back to work.

Of course his reposnse to this was:

"Well ya! Your hot!"

GROSS.

Maybe next time I'll wave...

Super Bowl Sunday!

Super bowl Sunday was alot more fun that I expected it to be.

We went to the Moores cause Ryans parents just got a nice big tv!

It was really nice spending time with family.

I was asked to bring a treat and as I was browsing blogs to keep entertained, I found the idea to make these:

I have had these before but not shaped like footballs!

(Don't mind mine though. They are a little retarded looking!)

These are what they look like normally:

Its such an easy recipe! Here it is:

1 box of single stuff oreos

8 oz cream cheese

White chocolate almond bark

Crush oreos and mix with softened cream cheese.

Roll into balls.

Refridgerate till firm.

Dip in melted almond bark.

Refridgerate & Eat!

I also tried making them with nutter butters.

Its the same recipe but use nutter butters instead of oreos and milk chocolate almond bark instead of white.

They turned out okay. There is another recipe for peanut butter balls that is much better!

It is:

2 cups peanut butter

1/4 cup softened butter

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

2 1/2 cups powder sugar

Mix peanut butter, salt, and butter.

Microwave for 1 min, stirring every 20 secs.

Sitr in vanilla and sugar.

Mix till dough like.

Refridgerate for half an hour.

Roll into balls.

Chill balls for 1 hour.

Dip in melted chocolate.

Its alot more work than the nutter butter recipe but SO worth it!

I would say that they sound yummy right now,

but I have the worst tummy ache EVER.

It seriously was like Thanksgiving all over again.

There was smokies,

meatballs,

bbq chicken,

garlic chicken pizza,

deviled eggs,

chips salsa & queso,

veggie tray,

starbursts,

sourpatch kids

chocolate covered pretzels,

m'n'ms,

and twizzlers!

The last two weeks of school we have been doing facials!

We spa certified on Friday and I can't wait to actually start taking appointments!

and you woke up in the middle of the night really thirsty

and you were too tired to actually go get a cup of water

so you would turn on the faucet and stick your head underneath?

Dante' started doing this the other day and its hilarious.

I thought cats were supposed to hate water...

mine doesn't...

He will sit in there and put his paw under the water for a minute and practically have a bath and sometimes comes out soaking wet.

What a weirdo.

Clutter Frustration!

I feel like everything in my life right now is so cluttered and unorganized!

Its driving me bazurk.

As embarrassed as I am to show this to the world,

this is how our kitchen sink looks the majority of the week:

And this is just the beginning.

There is the pile of junk mail and bills on our table,

or the pile of clothes next to my bed that increases as the week goes on,

or the piles of shoes & blankets that accumulate in the front room,

or the fridge full of rotten food we never get around to eating,

or our lack of money because we are horrible with budgeting,

or my wallet that I cant shut because of all the receipts I don't even need,

or my car that collects fast food wrappers and bags,

or my locker at school that over flows with pens and markers.

Or the worst of all...

all the clutter in my head to get it all organized!!!

Sunday Brunch

Since our time is limited now a days,

we have to get creative with hanging out with friends.

We went with our good friends Chris and Rachel to brunch on Sunday. They introduced us to this great little cafe' last summer and its our favorite place for brunch.

Its called The Park Cafe' and its right across the street from Liberty Park.

It is so delicious!!

A husband and wife opened it and its just run out of someones house.

Check it out sometime!

Saturday night, a bunch of us girls had a craft night!

It was so much fun.

While we were crafting it up our hubbies went out on a man date!

Mika, Jacquie and Sadie didn't have a project because Wood Connection closed earlier than we thought.

So we went on a craft search and went to 3 other craft stores before they finally found something to do!

It tooks us a full belly of Rio to get through.

School Week 3

Almost a month down!

Last week was alot of fun!

I was totally didn't expect to be learning so much hands on stuff already.

We learned how to do gel nails, manicures and pedicures!

On Friday we got to bring in models for pedicures and manicures.

My mom came in for the pedicure and mom-in-law for the manicure!

I was a little nervous just cause it was the second time that we had done both of them and we had to do it in 50 minutes to pass it off.

I passed!

This week we are learning glitter toes!

My weeks are starting to run together.

I feel like I don't have a second to RELAX.

There is always SOMETHING going on.

Last weekend my sister Kate came to visit. It has literally been YEARS since I have seen her. We don't see each other much or even talk often so it was good to catch up. Although, it is weird when she is around because then I become the little sister again when I am so used to being the oldest.

Somehow my family put me in charge of our agenda. Boy that was stressful! We are all pretty indecisive, and having to make the decision for EVERYONE is the hardest! My dad would disagree and say, "we aren't indecisive, we are just laid back!" Ya... uh huh. SURE!

The weekend FLEW by. After waking up Saturday morning, frantically cleaning my house and giving my car a much needed wash, we picked her up from the airport, went to lunch with the fam and got some good sisterly bonding time getting pedicures at school!Later we took my family to Cafe Rio for the first time and shared with them the wonder they have been missing out on for so long! Then we went to our place, played Band Hero and watched a movie. Its sure entertaining watching my mom play video games! Sunday we got up, got ready, and headed to my parents for a delicious french toast breakfast! Then headed to church with the whole family, came home and ate dinner and watched a movie!

Phew! Thank goodness I had Monday off from work... Too bad I didn't get to relax! I had to wake up and go take car of my car registration. Good lord. What an ordeal! Then lunch with dad and Kate and then off to school for the night!

We are learning manicure, pedicures and glitter toes this week... I bet you your school isnt this much fun!

Needless to say I AM EXHAUSTED! It takes much effort to do anything anymore. And forget about exercising. Last time that happened I got a migraine.

How I wish I could be napping...

1 & 1/2 Weeks Down..

...14 months and 2.5 weeks to go!

First week of school was a success! I have already learned alot and I get more excited about this career every day!

There is just me and one other girl in my class. Her name is Chalise and she is just darling! There are alot of other girls in the intermediate and advanced classes that are all very friendly and nice and our instructors are great! Its been alot of fun making new friends. It doesn't even really feel like I'm in school sometimes. We have been doing alot of bookwork, having lectures about attitude, setting goals, cleaning and even witnessed our first brazillian waxes :S. Only a few more weeks till we get to start doing hands on stuff! On Friday we had a test review by molding clay into a cell, decorating a cake of the layers of the skin(great thought to have while you are eating it ;) and last night we made collages of skin types! It makes me feel like im in elementary school again sometimes. Monday we took our first test and I did pretty good! A week ago I wouldnt have thought I could have learned that much stuff in just a week.

Last week was quite an adjustment. I was exhausted all week long. (You can probably tell by how I look in that picture :S) This week already seems to be easier. Now the challenge is to get myself up in the mornings and work out...

Christmas

Why didn't anyone tell me that being married during Christmas is the best thing ever??

We were worried that we wouldn't have a very good Christmas this year because of our lack of funds. But everything turned out wonderfully!

Christmas Eve we went to my parents house for some chicken noodle soup and to open our pj's!

Not to mention an attempt at taking a good Christmas photo of us, but the cat wouldn't cooperate.

We came home and watched Elf as we fell asleep. I seem to have insomnia lately. I can fall asleep just fine but I will wake up in the middle of the night and not be able to go back to sleep. I woke up at 2:30AM Christmas morning and couldn't go back to sleep. Yes I was excited, but not THAT excited to not be able to sleep! I kept waking Ryan up from tossing and turning so much. We almost had a 3 AM Christmas. I didn't get back to sleep until about 5 and then Ryan woke me up at 7 to open gifts! I looked like death so that is the reason there is a lack of pictures.

We both had a great Christmas! Ryan got a few video games he really wanted including Band Hero and also we added quite a few more movies to our collection! My favorite gift was my Cricut machine! I love it. Kitty doesn't know what to think about it.

We headed to my parents house around noon to open gifts with them and to have Christmas dinner. After dinner I CRASHED and took a fabulous 2 hour nap! Later we played Dance Dance revolution with my family. I wish I had gotten some pictures of my mom doing it. She is a hoot!

Saturday we had Christmas with Ryan's family. Ryan had to work late so we opened presents with out him. Its so funny how every family does things so differently. After dinner we watch movies, exchanged some music and played Band Hero! It was so fun to watch his mom & dad sing along.
Can't complain about three Christmas's! Hope you all enjoyed yours!

'Tis The Season To Be Jolly!

December is always SO busy! We have had so much going on lately it feels like we don't have a moment to relax.

On the 12Th day of Christmas:

We went to Ryan's work party for T-mobile. It was alot of fun. As you can tell it was an ugly sweater party. We thought we REALLY had the ugliest ones. There was lots of food and a gift exchange. I made an eclair cake that was delicious!

On the 11Th, 10Th, 9Th day of Christmas:

I watched ALOT of this:

Its pretty good! They had a marathon of it last week so it was on every night for two hours! I caught up on the story. New season starts January 21st!

On the 8Th day of Christmas:
We went with my family to the Savior of the World play. It was great! I had chills through the whole thing.
I know my Savior lives!
My parents even took us to the Lion House for dinner before the play! Hooray for free food!!!
On the 7Th day of Christmas:
Some of my girlfriends draw names for gifts and then have a girls night with gift exchange, pj's and Christmas movies! We went to the Spaghetti Factory for dinner, and had the most interesting server. His name was Bob the Server. That was actually on his name tag. ha ha
Then we went home and got comfy, turned on a movie and pretty much just talked through the whole thing.

On the 6Th day of Christmas:

I spent the whole day Christmas shopping. Totally not like me to wait till 6 days before Christmas to do the bulk of it. But what can you do when you have been strapped for cash?

I went to lunch with my darling lil blondie friends to Olive Garden. It is ALWAYS so good to see these girls and baby Weston. He doesn't make the baby hungry thing any better.

The food was great and the company was even better!

Love you guys! I would be happy to call you my sisters ;)

On the 5Th day of Christmas:

You know the usual Sunday activities:

sleep in,

go to church,

go to parents house for a free meal,

I apologize for being so mean the other day. I had no right.

Seeing is how I have been trying to be more positive lately, I just wanted to list the things that I DO enjoy about you.

#1: Hot cocoa:

This is the only time of the year that I can justify drinking this tasty treat. Any other time of the year just doesn't seem right.

#2: Christmas candy and all the other wonderful treats that seem to be never ending

#3: All the comfy clothes that help me cover up my chub that seems to appear after having too much of #2.

#4: Snow.

My favorite is when the snow falls at night with all the Christmas lights on all the houses and everything is so peaceful and quiet. If only you could keep it off of the roads...

#5: Snowboarding.

Would be impossible without #4! Now if I could just find the money to go...

#6: Christmas music.

How is it that we can listen to the same Cd's every year and never get sick of them?

#7: The gift of giving.

As I have gotten older, I get more excited to give my gifts than to get them.

#8: Festive Activities.

Christmas is just one day out of the year, but we celebrate it all month long! What other Holiday is really that special? Work Christmas parties, ice skating, caroling, going to see the lights, ugly sweater parties, etc, etc!

So I guess you really aren't so bad after all...

I'm not sure how much more I can handle you.

Do you really have to be so cold?

You are making it very difficult for me to go to work, let alone get out of bed.

I really don't enjoy having my pants and boots get sopping wet up to my knees from all the snow and slush that you bring.

I really don't enjoy that its too cold to walk to work when its across the street, and because work is so close my car doesn't even have time to warm up before I get there.

I have lost my gloves so my hands are always cold and my muscles ache.

Don't even get me started about driving.

All I want to do is snuggle up at home in my pj's with a big cup of cocoa and not come out till Spring.

Thanksgiving Break

This is a little late... but what can you do when you don't have internet at your apartment and you are not working for a whole week.

Thanksgiving was great. We did it at Ryan's parents this year cause they had a whole bunch of family come over. I can't remember the last time I had a Thanksgiving that big. I am sure am grateful for such a great "family-in-law". Pretty sure we were giggling all day. There must have been something special in the turkey....
It was such a long day. I didn't even get a Thanksgiving nap! After dinner (or lunch in our case since we ate at noon), the girls went to see New Moon. It gets better every time. Then it was off to my parents for turkey sandwiches!

I did it. I cut my hair. It is short. 7 inches shorter to be exact. What do you think? The first day I had a hard time adjusting, but I love it now. Now I just need to learn how to do it other ways than just up or down.

I have been going crazy making crafts lately. I get some great ideas from crafting blogs I find, and then I finally discovered The Wood Connection. I had heard people talk about it before but I never really knew what greatness I was missing. When I went in there for the first time I almost peed my pants cause of excitement. They have SO much you can do there! I already have the next year of crafts planned out accordingly. Here are a few that I have done in the last week or two:

I made another one last night but didn't get a chance to get a picture of it. I had a few girls over for craft night. It was so much fun. I definitely want to have more of those! Let me know if your in!

Happiness Is Only Real When Shared

I got a cold just in time for the weekend. But I didn't let it slow me down... much.

Thursday I went with some darling friends to the midnight showing of New Moon! Midnight is a little late for me nowadays but I figured I could handle staying up that late every once in awhile. And I think this was a good reason to. We went to Olive Garden for dinner before the movie. You would not believe how many women there were in that restaurant. I'm pretty sure 90% of the people in that restaurant were women either going to see New Moon or had just seen it.

Then of course we had to go wait in line for about an hour to be seated. We got pretty good seats!

The movie was great. I think I need to reread the books because I had a hard time remembering everything. But I think they did a much better job on this movie than the first. So excited for the next one! I heard it will be coming in June?? I didn't get home till about 3:30a.m. I don't think that helped much with my cold.

Friday I woke up and felt like death. So I called in sick, slept till about noon, then ran errands, and did a little decoration shopping for our apartment. As much as we both wouldn't want to admit this any other year, after going to all the stores and shops that have all this Christmas stuff up and Christmas music playing it actually got us in the Christmas spirit!! We normally wouldn't get into Christmas till after Thanksgiving. We like to take one holiday at a time. I am so stoked to have our own Christmas tree this year!

One of our walls in our front room has looked so plain so we finally made it look cute. We got the ribbon frames at Tai Pan for $30! I love that place. I will be going there for my Christmas decorations!

Saturday night we got together with Callee & Duncan. We went down to the Gateway to see the Lighting of the Lights. Ryan & I both weren't sure what it was. Ryan actually thought that it was the Temple Square lights. But KSL puts on this program every year I guess. They have musical guests, free cocoa and they light up a huge Christmas tree in the middle of the Olympic Square.

Sitting out in the cold for an hour or two probably didn't help my cold, but it was nice to get out and do something festive with good friends.

As much as being sick isn't EVER fun, having a sweet hubby take care of you all weekend sure is nice. Yesterday I didn't even leave the house I felt so awful. Good thing we have quite the movie collection to keep me entertained!! We finally got a table yesterday! Our friends let us have their old one for free! Kitty seems to like to too. lol Now we can have people over for dinner and actually have a table instead of tacky TV trays!

So last night I was woken up by a strange sound in our bathroom. Kitty usually gets really hyper at night so I figured he was doing something obnoxious as usual. When I walked into the bathroom our toilet was spitting out bubbles!!! We were both too tired to think to get a picture but this is kinda what it looked like. I don't know how this could have happened?? Any ideas?? I accidentally had thrown a baby wipe in there earlier that day and we thought it might have been that... but isn't that funny??

Its amazing how quickly things in life can change. Since being married Ryan & I have both had a reality check and have been thinking more than ever about our future.

Ryan has recently realized that firefighting might not be for him. Since we have been married having him gone days at a time has been quite the adjustment for both of us. He is still in the process of exploring other career ideas, but physical therapy seems to be tickling his fancy.

I FINALLY am enrolled for esthetician school at Elase Academy. I start in January and I am so stoked. I have been wanting to do this for years now and its exciting to finally going through with it. I will be going part time so it will take me about 15 months to complete. Its going to be a bit of a sacrifice but it will be worth it! I will be needing some people to practice on so if you want a service done for cheap and help out a friend let me know!

Ryan and I both got new jobs within the last week. They both kind of fell right into our laps. I got a job as a receptionist at a mortgage company right across the street from our apartment! Although its the same pay I am getting now, there is an opportunity to advance to a loan processor and many other pros that I couldn't turn down. (Thanks Jess for referring me :)

Ryan was offered a job yesterday at T-Mobile. It will be a change for him from an EMT to a sales guy, but once again it was too good to turn down. Not only will he have the opportunity to make more money, he will be home every night!

p.s. New moon tomorrow!! Whose excited?!?!?! :)

I have a few items of business to share today!

Item#1:

Kitty got fixed & declawed yesterday. It was heartbreaking. He hates the wrapping around his paws and they make it hard for him to walk. Its like he is wearing a shoe that is 4 sizes too big. I can't imagine how its going to be when we have kids.

I have been into a baking phase lately. One of my new absolutely favorite blogs is Bakerella. If you haven't checked out her blog you need to!! She is so creative. She is famous for her cake pops. They looked so tasty!! And if its possible to crave something you have never tried before, that's what happened with these. So I decided to give them a try!!
They are just as tasty as I thought they would be. But I have WAY too many. So I need people to help me eat them before they magically disappear!!
I think one of the next things I am going to try to make is this:

I have been contemplating what to do with my hair. I have been wanting to do something different for awhile but I am just too much of a wuss to try. Well, that and I can't ever decide what to do. So I want some opinions. I was thinking either short or going dark.

Ryan got up this morning at 4:30 to go to the gym. I opted to staying in bed. When he got home I heard him clanking in the kitchen which followed by a delicious smell. I got up to investigate and this is what I found! He made me breakfast!! I have the best husband in the world. No battle. ;)

Last night after a delectable dinner at the Olive Garden, my mom and I went home and made these:They were easy to make and they turned out so cute! I really want to make some for every holiday.

Annual Haircut

Usually Ryan only cuts his hair once a year. Before the wedding we trimmed it cause it wanted it long, but now that the wedding is over he just wants to do it the easy way. So last night we just shaved it! It was kinda fun!

Halloween Festivities

A few weeks ago on a night that Ryan was working, my mom and I went to Gardner Village for dinner and to enjoy the Halloween decorations! It was a fun festive thing to do. There were a lot of ladies wandering around in Witch costumes. It was so cute!

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays! It was quite an eventful weekend. Friday we carved pumpkins with Chris & Rachel. It was fun! I can't remember the last time that I carved a pumpkin.

Even kitty helped a little.

Ryan had to work on Halloween and I hated the thought of sitting at home by myself on a holiday so I went and hung out with my AWESOME new sis-in-law in Logan. I went with her and some of her friends to the Howl they have up there. It was so much fun. There were so many people!! Its fun to be able to let loose, dance all crazy and act a little immature. ha!

I have been wanting to go to school to become and Esthetician for a few years now. My goal was that when I got my Associates degree I would finally do it, and here I am. For awhile I have had my sights set on Cameo College, but with the new Elase Academy that just opened, I am a little confused. Honeymoon

We headed off to Florida the day after our wedding. Our friends Jessica & Tony hooked us up with the trip. We got it for a great price. It was a time share trip and we knew we would have to sit through a time share presentation but were excited nonetheless. Little did we know what we were getting ourselves into!

We wore our hats that we ordered and got alot of attention from them. When we got to Ft. Lauderdale to pick up our rental car the guy gave us a free upgrade and we got to drive this the whole time: Ryan was stoked.

Saturday was the day we had to go to the time share presentation. We drove down to Palm Beach to the resort where it was held. We were told it was only going to be 2 hours, but it ended up being more like 3 1/2 to 4. Our "guide" took us to breakfast and took us for a tour around the property. He knew we weren't going to buy anything so he took his time. He was really cool about it when we told him no, but when his supervisor came over she was horrible! She kept trying to force it on us and wouldn't let up. I wanted to punch her in the face!After the presentation we were allowed to hang out on the resort all day so we went to their private beach for a few hours.

It rains all the time down there it seems. It was so cool, we got to watch a thunder and lighting storm out at sea. Kind of scary though cause it looked like it was coming for us!

The next day we drove down to Miami and found a private beach and played there for awhile.

We drove around Miami exploring for awhile and then headed back to the room. Everyday we were in Ft. Lauderdale we were in our room by 7:30 and just ate a ton of candy and treats and watched TV! It was great!
Monday was the day we went on our cruise! Since this was a time share trip everything was of course bottom line. They told us when we set up the trip that we would have bunk beds in our cabin. Ryan of course embraced it and called top bunk right away. We were kind of hoping however that our hats would help us get a free upgrade. No bueno. But fortunately it wasn't bunk beds just two twins that we pushed together! Anyways, when we checked in they told us that we had to sit through this thing when we got on board for about an hour and we would get free lunch. I don't remember how they worded it exactly but they made it sound like it was just a welcoming lunch. Well to our surprise it was ANOTHER time share presentation!! It ended up taking about 2 hours , again longer than they said. I was so annoyed and upset! No one should have to do this on their honeymoon!! We said no thank you and went on our way and enjoyed the rest of our day.

We decided since it was our honeymoon that we would spoil ourselves a little. We went to a really fancy dinner later that evening. The idea was great... but the food... not so much. Raw salmon with mustard sauce and a goat cheese cake?? Who eats like that?? It was a lovely atmosphere and we had a great view... too bad we both got sea sick and had to leave early. Since they waited 15 minutes between each course we couldn't handle it anymore. So before our salads even came out we asked if we could get it right away. They offered to box it up and we could take it to our room. So that's what we did!! They also made us a cute honeymoon cake that tasted like soap. The only thing we liked about the meal was the filet mignon. I have never had a steak so juicy in my life! We cruised to Nassau Bahamas and we only got to be there for the day. Again we decided to spoil ourselves and pay a little extra to go have full access to the Atlantis Resort. This included their water park. SO MUCH FUN!!! Since September is their off season and we were the only ones from our cruise to go we walked on to pretty much every ride. There was one that shot you straight down through a shark tank. Most of those pics are on my water camera I have yet to develop.

We spent most of the morning there until my nose couldn't handle any more water going up it and my butt couldn't handle any more wedgies.

We then wandered around and looked at their aquariums. They had so many cool fish and other sea creatures.

They had one where there were baby sting rays and hammer head sharks! Cute!
They even had a Manta ray. This thing was HUGE! We had some time after that we headed to the beach for a minute. As soon as we sat down we got bombarded by a local lady selling jewelry that she had made. We felt too bad not to buy..
We had to be back on the boat by 5. I think we might have gotten heat exhaustion cause when we got back to our room we fell asleep till about 8!

Wednesday we got off the boat and headed to Orlando. When we got to our hotel we found out that we had to sit through yet ANOTHER time share presentation. I was furious and ready to kick someones butt. I thought that the one on the cruise ship was going to be the last and that we were going to get to enjoy the rest of our trip. So we went to it on Thursday morning. I went in ready to fight. Then this little old lady comes up and is as sweet as can be. There was no way I could have been rude to her! So we just honestly said, "Look, we are on our honeymoon, we were told we only had to sit through one of these and this is our third, we cant afford to buy a vacation home when we are barley getting by with rent. We don't want to waste either of our time". So she looked at us and said.."Ya know I don't even care. I am retired and do this just to pass the time. So lets go get you some breakfast and get you back on your honeymoon." So we had breakfast and chatted for awhile and then she took us back early.

Then we headed to Universal Studios. It was so humid and hot it was ridiculous! Universal Studios was okay. The one big crazy ride we really wanted to go on closed down as we were walking up to it. Call it dumb luck. We went into one ride and when we came out it was POURING. Everyone was hiding inside, but we just walked right out into it we were so hot. The rain was still pretty warm.

We then headed over to the Island of Adventure. We had alot more fun here. They have lots of fun roller coasters. We realized however that we aren't little kids anymore that we cant handle the crazy twisty rides like we used to. Our heads hurt so bad afterwards.

WE went on this one ride in cartoon town that is like Splash Mountain at Disney World, but this one gets you absolutely SOAKED!!!

My favorite ride was the one that shoots you up really fast. Like the Rocket at Lagoon! We went on it probably 5 times!

We went and ate at Hard Rock after. After attempting to go there for New Years here in Utah and finding out that it had left, it was about time that we got to have it.

The plane ride home seemed longer than the one to get there. We just wanted to be home SO bad. When we got home, my mother came to pick us up and then take us to Ryan's brothers house to get our car. Ryan had Jake (his brother) use it for the week. I now think that was a dumb idea cause this is what we came home to:

No one had tried to mess up the car at our wedding and we thought we were safe! We made the best of it though. Jake was silly enough to leave the keys to his house. So... we had revenge:All in all the trip was fun regardless of the unexpected mishaps and paying more than we were expecting. Now we are just happy to be home starting our new life together. Not to mention even more grateful for these!!!!:

9/17/09- Our Wedding Day

I have been such a slacker. I got our pictures over a week or so ago but I just haven't felt like blogging. (WARNING: This post IS a picture overload. I tried to narrow down to my favorites... but I had ALOT!)

I cant believe that its almost been a month already!! It still feels like it was yesterday! It was the best day EVER. After six months of planning, everything turned out wonderfully. We got sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on September 17Th 2009. The day was beautiful, and unusually hot for mid-September. I think it got up to 80 degrees that day!! We had so many family and friends there supporting us.

Here are some of my favorites:

We had our luncheon at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. It had the best view!! We could see the temple out of one window and the State Capital out the other!

My mom made us some apron/bibs so that we wouldn't get food on us. They were hilarious. As you can tell they look like a bride and groom. She even put padding in mine for the boobies. They kept getting in my way. haha

We had our reception at Heritage Gardens in Sandy. I couldn't have picked a better place.

Since Ryans birthday was two days after our wedding, I surprised him with a toast to have everyone at our reception sing him happy birthday. We even got a piece of cheesecake with a candle in it. I dont think he was too mad at me.

I couldn't have asked for a better day! Everything went so smoothly and WAY too fast. Thanks to everyone that came to support us and that helped make the day so great!! I tried to post our video but I really am not sure how!

Our friends Ted & Breauna got to be on Utah Bride Blog and I thought it was such a cute idea... so I am going to copy it a little bit!

How we met: We actually went to high school together and graduated the same year but never really knew each other. A mutual friend that didn't even go to our high school suggested that we go out. We both weren't looking for anything serious but decided to hang out anyways. Here we are almost two years later!

Our first date: He picked me up late at night to go see a movie. Sure enough he was in his sweatpants. Some how he got me to tickle his back the ENTIRE movie. He wonders why I don't do that anymore. haha. I think we saw Dan in Real Life.

How he proposed: We went snowboarding one day and as we were coming up to the top of the mountain he suggested that we get a picture. I happily abliged and went to go take off my board as he went to find someone to take our picture. When he came back he bent down to take of his board and thats when he dropped one knee and whooped out the ring. I was so surprised. He did such a good job.

My Vendors:

Dress: Fairy Godmothers Bridal. I would recommend her to anyone. Its a lady that runs it out of her house. She has a very large selection and very good prices! My dress was the second one I tried on.

Bridesmaid Dresses: I just had my bridesmaid find their own dresses and shoes. I got their undershirts at Down East Basics, bracelets at Icing and I made their earrings.

Tuxes: A Tip Top Tux. Also ran out of a someones house. Very good price!!

Flowers: Jessica Miller. She did an amazing job. The flowers were EXACTLY what I wanted.

Rings: Rocky Mountain Diamond Co. Great customer service. They are hidden downtown and you need an appointment to go. They are a wholesaler and dont really sell to the public unless by referral.

Photography & Videography: Pointe Digital Photography. I had a few friends that had used these guys for their wedding and I heard nothing but good things. I love their work and April and Davey were AMAZING to work with. They also made our sign in book.

Cake: Cindy Crump. She works out of Heritage Gardens. Does great work and for a good price!

DJ: Rick Sutter. He was very nice and easy to work with. He does it as a part time job and is very inexpensive.

Hair & Makeup: My dear friend Ashli Paynter! She does hair out of her basement. She does such a great job!! Even though we had a misunderstanding about the time she was supposed to come to my house that morning she was so sweet about it. Love you Ash!

Favors: Delamare Candy. They made customized taffy that had our names and the date on it! Super yummy too!! Vanilla and fruity flavors. We put them in chinese take out boxes, put a sticker on the front and tied a bow on them! So cute!! Not to mention not too expensive!

Endowments!

We went two days before our wedding to take out our endowments. It was the first time for both us and that was great experience. A little overwhelming... but still great. We did them at the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. It is AMAZINGLY beautiful inside!! We never got to go to the open house so that was the first time we got to see it.

Afterwards we went to Applebees to celebrate!! (We are good at finding excuses to eat out!) Some people from Ryan's parents friends gave us a congratulatory shake!!

Bridals!

Here are some of my bridals! It was so much fun to get all dressed up. I was a little flustered before I got there because of traffic and cause the florist got my flowers wrong. But nonetheless, I think they turned out pretty good!

The cutest thing happened right as we were getting ready to leave. We were getting my normal clothes out of the trunk so I could change and we hear this small little voice, "Hi Princess!!" We turn around and there was this little 4 year old girl. When I asked if I could take a picture with her she gladly abliged. This pretty much made my day.

My sweet friend Chellie Bellie aka Michelle Andersen took them for us. You can find her here. These were so much fun even though we had to make two attempts! The first day we went up to Brighton. It was POURING rain as we were driving there but stopped as soon as we got there. Our plan was to hike up to the bus they have and get some cool pictures with it. I was hiking in high heels mind you.... and when we got up there, there was NO BUS!!!!! We were so bummed. So we just took some pictures up there anyway and then as we were headed back down it start pouring again. At least we were lucky enough to get what we got!! We went a few days later to Gardner Village to take the rest. Hope you enjoy!! Bridals, wedding, and honeymoon soon to come!!

Eventful Weekend!

We had quite the busy weekend! It made it go by too quickly. Saturday we moved Ryan into our apartment! I haven't taken any pictures yet cause its a MESS!! I will be moving my stuff in over the next few weeks. YAY! After a long day of moving we had two weddings to attend Mat & Keesha's, and then Ted & Breauna's! Congrats you guys! (I was so exhausted from moving this was the only picture that was taken all night.)Sunday Funday!

Ryan & I were planning on going to Lagoon, but with the new apartment we don't have a lot of money. So we had a fun (and cheap!) day with our friends Chris & Rachel.

We went to brunch at this lil place on 1300 s. across from Liberty Park. It is in someones house. Half of it is the restaurant and the other half is their house! It was so busy, but so worth the wait!

After a lil nap to help with our food coma, we went hiking up to Moss Ledge.

On our hike down it started POURING on us. It was so fun. It made it kind of scary though cause all the rocks were slick!!

We finally found a place to live! Ryan moves in this weekend! Kinda quick but we had to to be able to get the great deal that we did! I can't wait to start decorating!(and for my walk-in closet!!)

We have NO luck with cars. If its not one thing... its another. But this was probably the funniest thing to happen yet. Maybe its just because I'm past the point of caring.
A few days ago my sweet lil mother was trying to move my car so she could to go work. Since I have the club on it she had to take it off. And when she turned the steering wheel she accidentally cracked my windshield with the handle of the club.

More funny than anything. If she hadn't have done it, I probably would have eventually. But she feels horrible for it which is why she is getting me a whole new windshield. I guess its a good thing I never got one before.. even if it was much needed.

ONE MONTH LEFT!!!

I can't believe that we only have a month left!! Reality is starting to hit. It feels like it has been so far off and just something that would happen sometime in the future but now that we are wrapping up the planning and finalizing everything its becoming more real!

Last week I had my bridals taken. I wish I could post some pictures so badly but no can do! Surprisingly Ryan actually reads my blog on occasion and I'm making him wait to see me in my dress. Can't ruin the surprise!! I will post them as soon as I can though. But for those of you that want to see them in advance.. email me :).

We are starting to send out inviations this week!! YAHOO!!

Anyone have any good suggestions for books to read?? Maybe something to do with getting married or preparing to go to the temple?? Let me know! I have too much time on my hands any more.
